篇一
Love of a Life timeOnce upon a time a teacher and his student lay down under the big tree near the big grass area.
Then suddenly the student asked the teacher.
Teacher, I’m confused, how do we find our soul mate?
Can you please help me?”
Silent for a few seconds, the teacher then answered, “Well, it’s a pretty hard and an easy question.”
The teacher continued, “Look that way, there is a lot of grass, why don’t you walk there?
Please don’t walk backwards, just walk straight ahead.
On your way, try to find a blade of beautiful grass and pick it up and then give it to me. But just one.”
The student said, “Well, OK then... wait for me...” and walked straight ahead to the grassy field.
A few minutes later the student came back.
The teacher asked, “Well, I don’t see a beautiful blade of grass in your hand.”
The student said, “On my journey, I found quite a few beautiful blade of grass,
but I thought that I would find a better one, so I didn’t pick it.
But I didn’t realize that I was at the end of the field, and I hadn’t picked any because you told me not to go back, so I didn’t go back.”
The teacher said, “That’s what will hen in real life.”
What is the message of this story?
In the story, grass is the people around you, the beautiful blade of grass is the people that attract you and the grassy field is time.
In looking for your soul mate, please don’t always pare and hope that there will be a better one.
By doing that, you’ll waste your lifetime, cause remember “Time Never Goes Back”.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked. "e and play with me ," the tree asked the boy . "I am no longer a kid, I don't play around trees anymore." The boy replied, "I want toys. I need money to buy them."
"Sorry, but I don't he money…but you can pick all my les and sell them. So, you will he money." The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the les on the tree and left hily. The boy never came back after he picked the les. The tree was sad.

Did the Earth Move for YouEleven-year-old Angela was stricken with a debilitating disease involving her nervous system.
She was unable to walk and her movement was restricted in other ways as well.
The doctors did not hold out much hope of her ever recovering from this illness.
They predicted she’d spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair.
They said that few, if any, were able to e back to normal after contracting this disease.
The little girl was undaunted.
There, lying in her hospital bed, she would vow to anyone who’d listen that she was definitely going to be walking again someday.
She was transferred to a specialized rehabilitation hospital in the San Francisco Bay area.
Whatever therapies could be lied to her case were used.
The therapists were charmed by her undefeatable spirit.
They taught her about imaging — about seeing herself walking.
If it would do nothing else, it would at least give her hope and something positive to do in the long waking hours in bed.
Angela would work as hard as possible in physical therapy, in whirlpools and in exercise sessions.
But she worked just as hard lying there faithfully doing her imaging, visualizing herself moving, moving, moving!
One day, as she was using all her might to imagine her legs moving again, it seemed as though one miracle had hened:
The bed moved! She screamed out, “Look what I’m doing! Look! Look! I can do it! I moved, I moved!”
Of course, at this very moment everyone else in the hospital was screaming, too, and running for cover.
People were screaming, equipment was falling and glass was breaking.
You see, it was the recent San Francisco earthquake.
But don’t tell that to Angela.
She’s convinced that she did it.
And now only a few years later, she’s back in school.
You see, anyone who can shake the earth between San Francisco and Oakland can conquer a piddling little disease, can’t they?

Giving up too soon
Tolerance is painful, but its fruits is sweet.
A man meets a guru in the road. The man asks the guru, "Which way is success?" The berobed, bearded sage speaks not, but points to a place off in the distance.
The man, thrilled by the prospect of quick and easy success, rushes off in the ropriate direction. Suddenly, there es a loud "SPLAT." Eventually, the man limps back, tattered and stunned, assuming he must he misinterpreted the message. He repeats his question to the guru, duanwenw who again points silently in the same direction.
The man obediently walks off once more. This time the splat is deafening, and when the man crawls back, he is bloody, broken, tattered, and irate. "I asked you which way is success," he screams at the guru. "I followed the direction you indicated. And all I got was splatted! No more of this pointing! Talk!"
Only then does the guru speak, and what he says is this: "Success IS that way. Just a little PAST splat."

Rising Moon
There is a hill near my home that I often climb at night.
The noise of the city is a far-off whisper when I climb it. In the dark I share the cheerfulness of crickets and the leisure of owls. duanwenw But what I e to see is the wonder of the moon rise. It gives me peacefulness and simplicity4 that the city exhausts too easily.
From this hill I he watched many moons rise. Each one had its own mood. There he been broad and beautiful moons in autumn; shy and misty moons in spring; lonely and white winter moons rising into the absolute silence of an ink- black sky and orange moons over the dry fields of summer. Each, like fine music, excited my heart and calmed my soul.
We, who live indoors, he lost contact with the moon. The rays of street lights and the dust of pollution cover the night sky. Though man has walked on the moon, in a way it is less familiar. Few of us can say what time the moon will rise tonight.
Still, it resonates with us. If we unexpectedly e across the full moon, huge and yellow over the horizon, we can’t help staring back at its beautiful earance, duanwenw and the moon has gifts to those who watch it.
By enjoying the bright moon, we can melt6 into the quiet of the night.

On Going a Journey
One of the most pleasant things to do in this world is to go on a journey, but I like to go by myself. I can enjoy society in a room, but out of doors nature’s pany is enough for me. I never feel lonely when I’m surrounded by nature.
When I am in the country I prefer to live a country life. I go out of town in order to forget the town and all that is in it. I like hing more room and fewer burdens. I like solitude. When I am in the beautiful scenery, I am looking for solitude, but not for what I ask for.
The soul of a journey is liberty, perfect liberty. To think, to feel and to do just as one pleases. duanwenw We go on journeys chiefly to be free of all obstacles and of all inconveniences, to lee ourselves behind, much more to get rid of others. It is because I want a little space to think about unimportant matters, where thought may grow her feathers and wings.
I can separate myself from the town for a while, without feeling lost. Give me a clear blue sky over my head, green grass beneath my feet, a winding road before me, and let me think! It is hard if I cannot start a game in this lonely field. I laugh, I run, I leap and I sing for joy. Notes:

1.Positive thinking. I’m obviously a big proponent of positive thinking as the best way to achieve your goals, but it turns out that it can lead to hiness too. Optimism and self-esteem are some of the best indicators of people who lead hy lives. Hy people feel empowered, in control of their lives, and he a positive outlook on life. Action steps: Make positive thinking a habit. In fact, this should be one of the first habits you develop. Get into the habit of squashing all negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones. Instead of “I can’t” think“I can”. It may sound corny, but it has worked for me, every time.

1. Many people believe that they will be hy once they arrive at some specific goal they set for themselves. However, more often than not, once you arrive " there" you will still feel dissatisfied, and move your " there" vision to yet another point in the future. By always chasing after another "there," you are never really reciating what you already he right "here." It is important for human beings to keep soberminded about the age-old drive to look beyond the place where you now stand. On one hand, your life is enhanced by your dreams and aspirations. On the other hand, these drives can pull you farther and farther from your enjoyment of your life right now. By learning the lessons of gratitude and abundance, you can bring yourself closer to fulfilling the challenge of living in the present.
2、Once learning stops, vegetation sets in. It is a common fallacy to regard school as the only workshop for the acquisition of knowledge. On the contrary, learning should be a never-ending process, from the cradle to the gre. With the world ever changing so fast, the cease from learning for just a few days will make a person lag behind. What's worse, the animalistic instinct dormant deep in our subconsciousness will come to life, weakening our will to pursue our noble ideal, sing our determination to sweep away obstacles to our success and strangling our desire for the refinement of our character. Lack of learning will inevitably lead to the stagnation of the mind, or even worse, its fossilization, Therefore, to stay mentally young, we he to take learning as a lifelong career.

Wes of the life 生命的波纹
Sioux Indian story ...
My grandfather took me to the fish pond on the farm when I was about seven, and he told me to throw a stone into the water. He told me to watch the circles created by the stone. Then he asked me to think of myself as that stone.
"You may create lots of splashes in your life, but the wes that come from those splashes will disturb the peace of all your fellow creatures," he said.
"Remember that you are responsible for what you put in your circle and that circle will also touch many other circles."
"You will need to live in a way that allows the good that comes from your circle to send the peace of that goodness to others. The splash that comes from anger or jealousy will send those feelings to other circles. You are responsible for both."
That was the first time I realized that each person creates the inner peace or discord that flows out into the world. We cannot create world peace if we are riddled with inner conflict, hatred, dou, or anger.
We radiate the feelings and thoughts that we hold inside, whether we speak them or not. Whatever is splashing around inside of us is spilling out into the world, creating beauty or discord with all other circles of life.
Wind of forgiveness
The story goes that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend sled the other one in the face.
The one who got sled felt hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "Today my best friend sled me in the face."
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been sled got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend sed him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "Today my best friend sed my life."
The friend who had sled and sed his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now you write on a stone. Why?"
The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But when someone does something good for us, we must engre it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
Lake Of Autumn
I remember quite clearly now when the story hened. The autumn lees were floating in measure down to the ground, recovering the lake, where we used to swim like children, under the sun was there to shine. That time we used to be hy. Well, I thought we were. But the truth was that you had been longing to lee me, not daring to tell me. On that precious night, watching the lake, vaguely conscious, you said: “Our story is ending.”
The rain was killing the last days of summer. You had been killing my last breath of love, since a long time ago. I still don’t think I’m gonna make it through another love story. You took it all away from me. And there I stand, I knew I was going to be the one left behind. But still I’m watching the lake, vaguely conscious, and I know my life is ending.

Love is a two-way street
A father sat at his desk poring over his monthly bills when his young son rushed in and announced,
“Dad, because this is your birthday and you’re 55 years old, I’m going to give you 55 kisses, one for each year!” When the boy started making good on his word, the father exclaimed, “Oh, Andrew, don’t do it now; I’m too busy!”
The youngster immediately fell silent as tears welled up in his big blue eyes. Apologically the father said, “You can finish later.”
The boy said nothing but quietly walked away, disointment written over his face. That evening the father said, “Come and finish the kisses now, Andrew!” But the boy didn’t respond.
Unfortunately, a few days later after this incident, the boy had an accident and was drowned. His heartbroken father wrote...
“If only I could tell him how much I regret my thoughtless words, and could be assured that he knows how much my heart is aching.”
…Love is a two-way street. Any loving act must be warmly accepted or it will be taken as rejection and can lee a scar. If we are too busy to give and receive love, we are too busy! Nothing is more important than responding with love to the cry for love from those who are near and precious to us. Because... there may be no chance at all as in the case of the little boy...
The Real Meaning of Peace
There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The king looked at all the pictures. But there were only two he really liked, and he had to choose between them. One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror for peaceful towering mountains all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.
The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky, from which rain fell and in which lightning played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all.
But when the king looked closely, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest — in perfect peace.
Which picture do you think won the prize? The king chose the second picture. Do you know why?
“Because,” explained the king, “peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace.”
微笑
When you smile, I smile, that’s the deal.
I will not walk past you and not look you in the eyes and not acknowledge you.
Instead we will pass each other and say hello.
Not with our words, for they are not the same; but with our faces.
I meet you and I see there is good in your eyes, there's passion in your heart and there's a friendly hello in your smile.
And for the first time we can relate and reciate each other.
That’s all it takes, that’s where it starts.
Because I know that you will smile and I will smile and the rest is easy.

Inseparable, in Life or Death
Translator: Ruth Hung; Ted Barham; Guang-Yu Li From Oxford University
Inseparable, in life or death.
Wherever your dreams he rested,
Believe that life can last.
The sky has lost its beauty,
But you expect to stand tomorrow.
Wherever you are, I’ll find you.
Our blood ties can achieve the impossible,
Your shouts are pulsing through my veins.
Inseparable, in life or death.
I am waiting for you,
counting the seconds.
Believing life can last.
I cannot see you,
But you are lying here in my heart.
Wherever you are,
I will find you.
Our blood ties can achieve the impossible,
Hand in hand we are laying the road
For your journey back home.
Inseparable, in life or death.
The whole world is reduced to silence,
Suffering, shedding no tears.
Love will make your life legendary,
After the rain there will be a rainbow.
Wherever you are,
I will find you.
Our blood ties can achieve the impossible,
Your thread of hope is my whole source of power .

As food is to the body, so is learning to the mind. Our bodies grow and muscles develop with the intake of adequate nutritious food. Likewise, we should keep learning day by day to maintain our keen mental power and expand our intellectual capacity. Constant learning supplies us with inexhaustible fuel for driving us to sharpen our power of reasoning, analysis, and judgment. Learning incessantly is the surest way to keep pace with the times in the information age, and an infallible warrant of success in times of uncertainty.
Once learning stops, vegetation sets in.
2In my opinion, the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is too hey. While it is true that students need to study, they need other things as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. High should be allowed more time for play. Plying is not wasting time, as some think. It gives them physical exercise, and also exercise their imagination. Which tends to be stifled by too much study. Finally, the pressure put on high school students by excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress, which is unhealthy physically and mentally. I do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. I do think, however, that a reduction of the current hey load would be beneficial to students and to the society as a whole.
3Lost time is never found again. This is something which I learned very clearly last semester. I spent so much time fooling around that my grades began to suffer. I finally realized that something had to be done. It was time for a change.
Now I he a new plan for using my time wisely. I he set my alarm clock ahead half an hour. This will give me a head start on the day. I he also decided to keep a log of what I do and when I do it. Looking back on what I’ve done will give me some ideas on how to reorganize my time.
4However mean your life is, meet it and live it; do not shun it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as you are. It looks poorest when you are richest. The faultfinder will find faults in paradise. Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps he some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse.
The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the alms-house as brightly as from the rich man's abode; the snow melts before its door as early in the spring. I do not see but a quiet mind may live as contentedly there, and he as cheering thoughts, as in a palace. The town's poor seem to me often to live the most independent lives of any. May be they are simply great enough to receive without misgiving. Most think that they are above being supported by the town; but it often hens that they are not above supporting themselves by dishonest means. Which should be more disreputable. Cultivate poverty like a garden herb, like sage.
Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends, Turn the old, return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts.

5Greta always said, "dear, keep walking in sunshine!" no matter how terrible my day started, i always felt sunny walking home from greta’s house-even beneath the winter starlight.
I arrived at greta’s house today just after sunset. an ambulance had stopped a few feet from her door, it’s red lights flashing. when i ran into the old house, greta recognized me right away.
She smiled at me with her unforgettable twinkling blue eyes. she was almost out of breath when she reached out and softly touched my arm. her last words to me were "dear, keep walking in sunshine!"
6Whether sixty or six, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike etite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young.
An individual human existence should be like a river—small at first, narrowly contained within its banks, and rushing passionately past boulders and over waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wider, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break, they become merged in the sea, and painlessly lose their individual being.
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity,of the etite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of sixty more than a boy of twenty.Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.
By Samuel Ullman
Youth is not a time of life; itis a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and suppleknees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of theemotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.
Youth means a temperamentalpredominance of courage over timidity, of the etite for adventure over thelove of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobodygrows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Yearsmay wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear,self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.
Whether 60 or 16, there is inevery human being’s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing etite for what’snext and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and myheart, there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, courage and power from man and from the infinite, so long as you areyoung.
When your aerials are down, andyour spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, thenyou’ve grown old, even at 20; but as long as your aerials are up, to catchwes of optimism, there’s hope you may die young at 80.

As food is to the body, so is learning to the mind. Our bodies grow and muscles develop with the intake of adequate nutritious food. Likewise, we should keep learning day by day to maintain our keen mental power and expand our intellectual capacity.
No living creature can laugh except man. Trees may bleed when they are wounded, and beasts in the field will cry in pain and hunger, yet only I he the gift of laughter and it is mine to use whenever I choose. Henceforth I will cultivate the habit of laughter. I will smile and my digestion will improve; I will chuckle and my burdens will be lightened; I will laugh and my life will be lengthened for this is the great secret of long life and now it is mine.
I will paint this day with laughter; I will frame this night in song. Never will I labor to be hy; rather will I remain too busy to be sad. I will enjoy today's hiness today. It is not grain to be stored in a box. It is not wine to be sed in a jar. It cannot be sed for the morrow. It must be sown and reaped on the same day and this I will do, henceforth.
And with my laughter all things will be reduced to their proper size. I will laugh at my failures and they will vanish in clouds of new dreams; I will laugh at my successes and they will shrink to their true value. I will laugh at evil and it will die untasted; I will laugh at goodness and it will thrive and abound. Each day will be triumphant only when my smiles bring forth smiles from others and this l do in selfishness, for those on whom l flown are those who purchase not my goods.

Feeling of Youth
No young man believes he shall ever die.
There is a feeling of eternity in youth, which makes us feel as though we can achieve everything. To be young is to be as one of the immortal Gods.
A vast and endless scene lies before us. We can see no end to the landscape. Some new objects present themselves as we advance. So, at the beginning of life, we set no bounds to our interests or to the chances of satisfying them. We go on in this way forever. We look round in the new world, which is full of life, motion and progress; and feel in ourselves all the strength and spirit to keep pace with it.
It is the simplicity that identifies us with nature, and makes us mistake ourselves for being immortal like the nature. duanwenw During our lifetime we seem to spend a honeymoon in which there is no coldness, quarrel or separation. As babies *** ile in their sleep, we are rocked in the cradle of our way-ward fancies, and helped to sleep by the roar of the universe around us. We drink up the cup of life eagerly without spilling it. And our minds are filled with so strong desires that we he no room for the thoughts of death.

The Life I Desire
The Life I Desire,That must be the story of many couples, and the pattern of life it offers has a homely grace1.
It reminds you of a calm stream with little fish swimming freely up and down in it and birds flying in the sky. It winds *** oothly through green farms and is shaded by pleasant trees till at last it pours into the vast sea. However, the sea is so calm, so silent and so indifferent that you are troubled suddenly by an unclear uneasiness3. Perhaps it is only a bend in my nature, but it was strong in me even in those days.
I felt that there was something wrong in such a way of life, while the way of life was shared by most of people. I recognized4 the social value of this way of life. I saw its ordered hiness and I saw its nature of peace, calm and shyness, but a fever in my blood asked for a wilder course. There seemed to be something alarming in such easy delights. In my heart, my desire was to live more dangerously. I would go on expeditions through jungles which were filled with difficulties and danger. duanwenw I would fly on horseback through grasslands as fast as the horse could run. I would try to jump into the high sky and raft in the white water. I was always ready to climb rough rocks and steep cliffs.
